I am looking for about $1k out of it, like I said it runs fine and all.
I think $1k would be a deal considering it runs fine AND the rearend is the trac-loc or whatever, and yes the rear does still work. Only thing wrong with the motor is the power steering pump, it was run dry so it groans, works but is loud and annoying
If you are interested come on by and check it out.
ill let you know cuz a friend has one just like urs but he might just sell me the motor

If he buys my Cougar, he'll have an engine, tranny, and rearend. If he doesn't want the rearend it can easily be sold for a chunk of money, plus he could get rid of the body for some cash also.

Yea I got a 1995 T-Bird uses the same engine as the Cougar 4.6L V8 I perferr the T-Bird over the Cougar though, I think the body is more sexy! but unless he changed it out it should just be the stanard one for the V8 engines.

Not sure if anyone said it because I'm not reading those posts.

It is a fairly common swap as starquests go, heres a couple sites.

home redirect
G54B.com - The True Starion/Conquest Enthusiast Site

Also, you don't need custom mounts, I forget exactly which to use, but its like a 351 or 302 drop mount for a stang. I think its the 302, but itll be listed in sqc.

And if your feeling spicy they make a t56 swap kit for it, just a little hammer work involved!
