Default rebuild

well im thinking about keeping my car, but if i do i want to rebuild the engine
i dont need no special build or noting just a rebuild, how much does that usually run for?? its a 1.8T (VW)

you dont need a rebuild just regular maintenance if your not racing it.

yea its a 98 with 103k miles
i wanna rebuild it because i wanna go with a big turbo
and i rather not have it blow up on me

thats not called a rebuild thats a build sir
rebuild=renewing motor to same stock spec
build=whatever the hell you wanna do to it do to it

I'm going though the samething right now, It's cheaper to buy a used motor with less then 50k miles on it and just change some gaskets and replace the motors then it is to rebuild the motor... look around. Right now I'm replacing my 1995 T-bird V8 4.6L Engine, I bought a motor with 47k on it and it costs me $800 in parts and everything maybe a total of $1,000 but I'm also putting it in myself, it might costs around $500 to have someone put it in for you.
