Talking So I had a pretty damn good day at the TRack Event !

I have a huge list of people to thank on this project of mine but I will do that at a later time when I can get all the vids of my runs from today / tonight put together and I am not so tired. But I have to thank TJ from Coastal for taking time away from his family all day and carting my ass around with the truck and trailer. Not to mention all of the great work on the car but I will cover that some other day.

Here are the breakdowns on the runs.

Same exact tune on everything as the previous time to the track which was the first time with the new set up about a month or so ago.

Drag radials, 16 - 16.8 lbs (fluctuates a little) of boost, cold cold plugs, low timing, etc.. Safe safe safe.

But this time instead of foot braking I hit it on the trans brake.

First run out on the t-brake I brought it up to 8 lbs of boost on the launch and let it go. Immediate tire spin, started tracking right, peddled it several times to the wonderful 60ft and times below:

Second pass I backed the boost down (with my foot / less gas pedal) to about 4 lbs. of boost. This worked better but realized I did not burn out long enough. Hit hard, carried the tires a little, spun, peddled, laid into it, felt pretty strong and bingo my first ever 9 second pass ! By the slip below obviously it has a lot left in it just by the 60ft's alone. My stock block car with a smaller turbo would 1.41 all day on my el cheap suspension that everyone busts my balls about.

Last pass of the night. Much longer burnout, tires seemed to bite well on the end of the burn out. Left on 4 lbs of boost again, car seemed to hook hard, did not carry the tires, and did not seem any harder than the last run. . smokin_ No spinning, clean run, and I could tell things were coming up much quicker on the track because my shift points were in different locations going down the track.

My goal I talked to no one else about tonight was a 9.8x with a high 1.4x 60ft time.

Needless to say I am happy as shit !

I never expected this on such low boost, drag radials, and on this safe tune. I am almost hesitant to go and hit it with 26 lbs, more timing, hotter plugs, and some other minor tweaks. But I think I will manage to do it one of these days.

Time for bed, I am whooped, but I feel good that I have the monkey off my back and he is shot and dead on the ground.

MAn, I saw all of those runs, your car is very nice.
I am interested in the setup though. Do both exhaust manifolds spool the turbo? If not, wouldn't that case one bank to run different then the other seeing that only one side is spooling the turbo?

Scott, do you mind posting an estimate budget for your build... I love to see a car getting faster on every pass.
