hey as anyone on hear ever made a list of stuff to look for in a junkyard?

ya theres the basic's like your car to see what options you can get or upgrade to if you got a old car and the parts that are hard to come buy like swicthes and and lips and things but here tons of other stuff you can get like .!

bolts= if you can thing of it pick up all the bolts you car find of differnt types but make share its from the same make as your car car companys always use the same bolts and bolt don't need to be pretty or new to work

body parts =if you find your car take stuff that you know thats hard to come by or if you plan to do any customstuff like painting athe trim its good to do it on a spare and mess that one up first

turbos= turbos in a junkyard theres tons off them but be carefull those cars are in the junkyard for a reason

this was what i was told to look for in a junkyard by a old guy that been doing cars for a long time

add too the list if you want or call me a fool dosen't matter

 

i grab fuses and switches and bulbs everytime i go to the junkyard.

 

good idea for a thread i look for wheels, tires, and right now seats.

 

yeah i was about to go to junkyard in the next couple days...

I only go to Magics on 113th in Pinellas Park for my parts....great place to get junk parts. Thats where I got my teg parts and also was always lookin for some other parts to sell....every once in a while had something nice

 

me and my uncle visit the junk yards alot grabbing parts for his porsche or his FC GXLII if they have it like hubs and the 5 lug swaps and so on. turbo II hoods are like $50 there and if good condition can sell for upwards of $200. but this is a good idea for a thread. rep'd.

 

i usualy just look for the things i need, but if i find something cheap that someone else might want, i may pick it up, i get alot of stuff for friends too

 

+1 for the TII hoods.

Im always looking for spare parts for the commonly broken things for my car. Like door handles, center dash, ac vents.

 

I just look for parts for my car first, but if I come across nice import parts and have a little cash I will buy stuff to flip.

 

I measure anti-sway bars. Some cars have better ones than stock.
I make brackets to mount *two* of them on each end.
Sway bars give better cornering than a spring swap.

I want MY cars to stick to the road in the corners!
