Hello, im eddie, i useto drive a miata, omg, the best car ever, quick enough stock, easy as ever to work on and last for ever, but soo small that i got hit by a jeep comando, not to hard, but it hurt the miata pretty bad, i had to sell it.

Well after drving a 2 seater conv, RWD 120hp pushing less then a ton of weight, and a 5 speed to boot, i feel in love with Miata, MR2, S2000, 2g RX-7 Conv. and even the Civic Del Sol.

The problem is that now i have a 91 eclipse, factory turbo, all stock, automatic, and 97k miles, its in perfect shape, with new brakes and shaved disc, tranny just rebuilt, rebuilt enginel; all checked and new gaskets on top half of engine. recent tune up, and all fluids drained, flushed and refilled, ALL FLUIDS!!!

Any way I want to sell it, its just not my kinda car... I dont know, its sporty and all, but still, I want to get a 2g RX-7 conv, or a Del Sol, or anything of that sort, and that price range, if i could id go with the s2000, but what do you guys think? Selling the turbo FWD for something slower? well the rx7 no, but you guys get what i mean right? wut should i do?

Hey if any one has a rx7 or del sol, or something of that sort and those want to trade let me know! any way i need opinon please.

And one more thing I am not too big on speed! and dont car too much for hooking the cars up, im more into going with cars that are fast already and look nice, of course rims, springs, and some engine mods are a must lol, well let me know.

lol srt4. hope thats a joke... anyways Yeah the car you have pretty much sucks. Im not a big fan of those small cars. i feel like im in a death trap in an integra, i cant imagine those lol. if speed isnt really your thing, honestly i doubt you will go much slower then a 91 auto ecipse anyways. If those are what you like though, i would go for it.. the delsol is pretty heavy frrom what i understand, havent reaserched it though.. An s2000 would be a badass choice if you can afford it. if not you can always go back to a miata or somthing

 

First off, sorry to hear about your miata. Even though the miata is lacking in the horse power dept, its light weight and rwd configuration make it a blast around corners.

I suggest staying away from fwd cars, as you seem to enjoy driving around corners. Try a 2nd gen rx7 turbo, although rotary engines are not for everyone... as you have to learn all it's quirks. Another option would be buying a turbo 240sx, you should be able to easily find one used as it seems everyone who buys one, turbos them.

 

You could always turbo a miata if your partial to the car, also a 2nd gen rx7 motor and trany will give very fast miata...

 

SRT-4.... thats a damn 4 door first off lol, i said sporty two seater, lol, yea im going with either a 2g RX7 conv. del sol, maybe a miata... its small tho... i mean roomy on the inside, but it looks like a go kart drivng down the street, lol then the convertible 2g RX7 its bigger on the outside, but to me its about the same trunk and leg space, lol, thats why i want the del sol, its a comfy two seater, with alot alot alot of trunk space, but not a RWD!!! lol well just have to see.

i always wanted to swap the miata to a rotary! 13b twin turbo!!! omg lol, i love rotarys, lol but again i dont have too much money or time, and dont want to change the stock car that much, how much do you think i can get for the eclipse?

 

don't get a del sol, it's FWD and boring, you liked your miata because it was a RWD roadster car, so stick with that type of car

1) S2000
2) Solstice/Sky
3) Miata
etc

 

yea but the prob is money, i cant afford s2000, or sky, and yes i love roadsters, to me theres nothing like them, they feel so good, and a blast to drive, the miata had good enough top speed, handled beyond belief!!!!!! and toke off the line like a mother!!!!! my 91 miata only had custom made headers, and a lil k&n performance air filter and pipe, and 2" piping all the way with no cayt and a lil muffler, and i toke off on my freinds GSR, i dont know wut he had under his hood, but sadly he caught me in the long run, lol it was fun, lol

 

then get a miata, seems like you fell in love with the car so no reason to beat around the bush and buy other cars IMO

 

it was a bit tiny though, lol and lil trunk space, i dont know, i think i am going to go with the miata though... lol
