AWD to RWD conversion......
skyrines neva loose. they are the fastest most saught after highest preforming best looking most techincally advanced car evAr and with some over night parts they will decimate anything and everything in any kind of racing. if they had v-tak there would be no doubt in my mind that they were a gift from god himself.
I believe you can with an aftermarket controler, the R34 had the best AWD system because it can all be electronicaly controled. They are incredible cars but what makes them not worth the hassle is they are a $20k-$30k car that people are paying $100k-$150k just so they can have a skyrine.

IGN: The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift Car of the Day: APR EVO
So yeah, modified center diff, remove front axles, cap axle holes.
RMR (Rhys Millen Racing), was called upon to prep these movie's EVOs for drift duty. The first thing the RMR team did was convert the EVO to a rear-wheel drive car. Though it sounds crazy, this drivetrain conversion actually isn't a radical modification. Converting an EVO to rear wheel drive consists of simply disconnecting the differentials and things that send power to the front wheels and then capping off the holes. From what we hear, it's just as easy to convert the EVO back to its proper all-wheel drive self.
EDIT*
Oh God its too late!

LOGIC? You seriously want to invoke logic in a conversation about fake hijackings, missiles hitting the pentagon, and bombs planted throughout the world trade center? I thought it was a given that logic was checked at the door when entering one of these threads.
RMR (Rhys Millen) did the actual work for the evos in that movie. Basicly he has some kind of billet steel thing that locks the front splines? he puts a cap over the output holes, and slaps a bigger clutch on there acording to modified mad. -Shane
all I know is it's hard to take this thread seriously when the fast and the furious is cited for an answer to a technical question...

If you look at the trunk in the second picture you see the how the trunk is cut, thats for the radiator
it has a total of 3. This STi is badass and yes the stickers can all be taken off in about 15 mins. It took them about 6 months straight to convert this to RWD it was JUN who did all the work. JUN had to convert the car to FR layout by making a custom bell housing adapter for the Hollinger 6-speed sequential transmission. While the engine uses an Ogura Racing Clutch lightweight chromoly flywheel and clutch combo for the EJ25 Impreza for quicker revving, JUN had to fabricate a custom one-off drive shaft to connect the Hollinger tranny to the differential, which is actually a Skyline GTR unit and a Cusco LSD.JUN also customized the intercooler to fit the Impreza using a Trust core, then welded up custom intercooler piping, using 60-70mm pipe sections. The oil cooler chosen was also a Trust unit, with 16 rows to keep the car running cool at high rpms. The whole car is so innovative, The hood and lip is made from Technoora, a strong fabric that’s like carbon Kevlar, but is much stronger, lighter, handles impact better and is harder to break. Not alot of people know about that. You can see the vents on the side of the car thats to transfer air to the radiators when hes gettin sideways . I'm sure this car was very very expensive to build but when you have millions and millions of dollars why not. This is owned to a D1 drifter but I cant remember his name.
