I know this isn't the right forum but the mazda forum is pretty much dead and no help... I was considering getting a protege mp3 within the next few months.. wanted to know what ppls opinions were..
are they reliable?

That looks more like a mazdaspeed edition, I don't know much about them except that they are turbo FWD. I don't know many people that fix them up. Something to look into.

 

yea these are the best pictures i could find... not too many ppl have them i guess... not too expensive either..

30k miles = 15k or
80k miles = 11k $ or so....

 

I've heard theres not much you can do to them. Like you can modify it but after you do they start to experience problems. So i guess it depends what you wanna do with it...

 

its a car there is always a chance at a swap depending on your budget... as for building it i havnt seen many go farther than rims, intake, and exhaust. but lie i said always a chance at swapping in a motor worthy of building like most car owners do.

If your talking about an mp3...its just a protege with a body kit so as far as being reliable goes it should be fine. If you are considering a MAZDASPEED like in the pic, they are fun cars but modding is expensive and there isnt that much aftermarket support. Power wise i have heard of a few making okay numbers but thats with a kit and semi build.

I think they look really nice though

 

If you go to Mazda Forums and search around I'm sure you will find all the answers that, your looking for about the MSP...

im not looking to do anything too crazy with it i just wanna get rid of my ricer. I guess i grew out of the phase.. but i do want the turbo protege whichever one that is (speed or mp3). thanks for the forum I'm going to look into it furthur.
