how do u hook up a tak
my friend doesnt kno how to hook it up neither do i due to most cars around here dont need them and are over sized but if anyone cares to explain how i will apreicate it and give some rep

should be 4 wires...
1 wires into your guage panel lights fuse on the fusebox
1 for the tach reading that goes to the negative side of the ignition coil
1 for power that needs an inline fuse to the battery
1 for ground
they usually are color coded...

have the instructions?
Every tach I've wired up works like this:
Red=12v switched
Black=ground
White=Illumination (put a voltmeter on it, it should drop voltage as the gauges are dimmed)
Green=tach signal, prob neg lead from coil or consult a wiring diagram
