any one on here going out there to heads up madness?

WELL MY 70 CHEVELLE IS ALMOST READY AND I WANT TO TAKE IT TO THE TRACK BUT AM TOTAL LOST ON WHAT IS REQUIRED SAFTY WISE. HAVE NO IDEA HOW FAST IT WILL BE - BUT A 600+ BBC NA IN THIS CAR SHOULD BE PRETTY FAST - ANY SUGESTIONS
