I know lag has often been discussed regarding the STS kits, but if you order the smaller optional exhaust housings with the kit, lag will not be a problem. I'm running the quick spool housing on my kit and I start making boost around 2k and I am at full boost (~7.5 PSI) at 3k RPM.

I ordered the tuner kit, which left out the tune and injectors. I ordered some 60# Mototron injectors, and then had ECS do the dyno/street tune afer I installed the kit in my dad's garage. I highly recommend them, as everyone else does, because they are very professional, extremely knowledgable, and will everything they can to make sure you are happy. Either way, make sure you get a good custom tune and don't even worry about a one-for-all tune.

Here is a quick list that I previously posted about why I decided to go with the STS over either a supercharger or a front mount system:

-The system does provide great performance.
-It also has reliable performance, no reported major problems since this system has been out.
-Very reputable company, STS has made thousands of various systems with many happy customers.
-Quality system, components and install; you will be impressed with the overall quality and detail in this kit.
-1 year warranty on complete kit.
-Doesn't cost much more than a supercharger.
-No crazy spaghetti exhaust manifold tubes to install in engine bay.
-Turbos very easy to install in muffler location as opposed to in engine bay, also very essy to service should the need ever arise.
-No need to deal with turbo heat up in engine bay (have you seen the heat shielding needed for some front mounts? its crazy. It looks like heat shielding from a space shuttle. I'd hate to loose a shield, and see what the components look like afterward. I would never want to think about replacing a wiring harness cause it melted.)
-No need for expensive headers/free-flowing exhaust/etc. to maxamize your systems potential.
-Maintains complete factory emissions system (This is a very big concern for many. You dont have to alter ANY of you emissions components at all with the STS kit. No moving, alterting or removing catalytic converters, the AIR system is not affected at all, etc.)
-Less added weight because mufflers are replaced. And there is no extra weight of the turbos up front.
-System sounds awesome.
-No undesirable supercharger whine, just the cool turbo whistle.
-No belts to worry about breaking, or adding side loads to your engine crankshaft.
-Full boost sooner than a centrifugal, and about the same as a front mount. (I know this will always be debated, but oh well, my setup works)
-Good air inlet temperatures.
-Base system has much room for growth if so desired. We know it will do 800RWHP. That's crazy power. I cna't imaging needing more, unless your making a drag car, but then build a F-body or mustang fro that.

no, this isnt wiseass. his is yellow with black rear fascia. and seems to always ride around on ET's

and that video...you must be deaf, granted the exhaust is a little over powering but you hear the turbo just fine even though that car is not spinning the turbo hard.
