This isn't a thread made to bash him it is just to get the point of view from others.
______________
Now to be fair I will give you my opinion. I don't think it is safe to do one or the other but here is what I think.
If you are streetracing everyone involved understands the risk.
If you are speeding everybody you pass is in danger due to the fact they have no idea until it's to late.
And just so you know more people die each year in speeding accidents vs. streetracing accidents worldwide.
Now please give me your opinion. THIS IS A PUBLIC POLL.____

There are different types of speeding dangers.
40mph in residential or school zones = dangerous.
80mph on four lane interstate highway = not dangerous.

well by his definition of "his limits" and "car limits" chuck could go out there and do 150+ down US 19 at 4PM on a friday...that still isnt going to stop some old lady pulling out, some kid crossing the street, or some guy who has lackluster depth perception to make a lane change.
you kill someone driving like everyone else is driving, you may get off....you do stupid speeds given a particular street and kill someone...call a lawyer..

Very true.....
and I have done my fair share of "street racing" in the past & still occasionally do.
The problem is where most streetracing takes place, not out on a desolate road but within the city....
Driving down the highway @ 85 when the speed limit is 70 is one thing & if traffic permits that speed (unless you are weaving in & out of traffic like a Asshole)
Accelerating @ WOT on city streets & the majority of time double the posted limit is on a whole different level.
But I do agree that "everyone" has streetraced @ one time or another & "bashing" it only makes it more popular.
For the regular "streetracing" guy's just do it in a more rural setting......

out of the way, late night, with no traffic, and only minimal outside participation. no one wants to have 20 cars follow them to watch them race, its too many eyes to feel comfortable with.

Street racing seems to be more dangerous for the fact that its not only 1 car involved could be 2 or more so the risks are much higher.
Just look at it this way...
What happens when you get caught speeding?
What happens when you get caught street racing?
One is more severe then the other.

I'm not meaning to pick on your post, just taking the opportunity to point out the real danger on our roads - drunk driving.
For the record, I no longer street race ever. The kind of racing I do would certainly cause some serious damage by doing it on the street.

I'm not sure if you're taking a stab at me Deac but yes, 150mph on US 19 at any time would be considerably unacceptable. 20 or 25mph over the limit in US 19s left lane at 4 AM wouldn't be a problem. Even so, my comment was regarding interstate which are limited access and designed for high speeds.
