Can you trust junkyards?
I am thinking of making a major purchase from a junk yard.Anyone buy a "good running" motor to find out that it didn't run so good?Trying to find my odds...
as far as junk yards go, good luck finding a great motor. you could probably find a motor in good enough condition to rebuild it though. and with rebuilds comes AWESOME PISTONS AND RODS AND EVERYTHING!!!

Yup. Theres a few I trust cause they have never done us any wrong and we do a ton of business with. Little ones you kinda have to worry about, especially one out in the boonies with bubba running it.
Green Leaf is a faly nice place and they offer some rather nice warranties with their motors. Some will they give lifetime on.

Buyer Beware.I used to do some installs for a local yard and the failure rate was very low. They used to leave the motors in the cars so that the customer could hear it run and verify the milage
