I bought a new light bulb socket for my blinker because the one now is all burnt out and coroded.

but how do i install the new socket? it came with three wires running from the socket. do i cut the old socket wires and solder the new wires to the ends of the old ones? or do i just twist them together and put caps over them? or what, im confused...

 

the ones from GM have the little crimpers included in the package, do NOT get a generic socket. Also take a GOOD picture of the "coroded" plug sometimes they just look coroded and arent really bad.

and idk what socket i bought, i went to autozone and they had to order it... soooo idk. but its meant for my car, so i know that much. ill just ask my instructor tomorrow morning.

 

crimp them, dont cap them. I should know, I replaced all mine on the Trans Am
