What is so great about them? I have heard a lot of people who are really into used police vehicles.

Can someone clue me in.

I am really into used police vehicles for my own reasons being that they are superior over the Crown Vic LX's in many ways...

First off just the look of them is awesome... Mainly the black ones but white ones are the only other color I would get them in. Check out that link I posted... not to mention their heavy duty parts like cooling system, alternator, suspension, transmission, etc. and have a few more ponies packed under the hood... they are just appealing to me.

pre 04 they are only 10HP more, thats from the dual exhaust. Post 04 the airbox and MAF are good for 15 over a civilian.
Transmission is the same except for the 11.25" TC vs a civi 12" (slightly higher stall)
i think it was '04 that they went to a 200amp alt, prior to that they were 130.
stiffer springs, different shocks, bigger swaybars, (the HPP/LX Sports actually have a bigger sway bar, 21mm vs. 1, regular civi is 17mm.
