Vice grips? I figure you've already tried it, but thats the only way I know of. Normally I'd say fuck it, just drill the thing out with a good bit, but that would cause major problems in a head. If the bolt isn't seized up, a pair of vice grips shoudl do the trick. Unless its hardened, most vice grips will actually be able to compress the head of the head bolt where you squeeze it, giving you a little bit nicer of a surface to try and twist with. If you fail with them, the bolt is hosed, though.

HAHA!!! Glad to know ill never have that problem!

On that note... ive had a couple striped bolts taht i rounded out. if you are really careful you can take a small eletric drimmial and cut you a new head out of it by sanding down the circle to make a square. it takes time but it will be alot better on the engine then drilling through it.

EZ out

On a related note, this penetrating oil is the best on the market. I've had a can of it for 20 years. Works awesome. All do-it-yourselfers and shops would do themselves a favor keeping a can of this stuff around.

Please, don't anybody reply with "WD40", that stuff is worthless.

You can also find bolt extraction tools on that site.
Here is one example of an EZ out

LOGIC? You seriously want to invoke logic in a conversation about fake hijackings, missiles hitting the pentagon, and bombs planted throughout the world trade center? I thought it was a given that logic was checked at the door when entering one of these threads.

but your best bet is some sort of stripped bolt remover tool, unless it broke off inside, then drill it out is the best bet

No, Its a headbolt, kinda don't want to drill it out and retap it.
The head is warped, thats why I couldnt get it out, I'm thinking about trying the vice grips again, but welding it on there. So it doesnt matter what happens to the head.
