I'm not trying to be a dick to you.But before you make this decision,Read what I said man,Or you can learn the hard way.No matter what any of us say here,your gonna take it lightly..I'll break it down for you one more time.

Are they reliable?..If you dont mod them,and dont beat on it,and drive it like you'd drive a minivan,yes they are,once you hit that gas pedal,and swap exhaust,and up the boost..Be ready for problems,I promise you they will come.

Can they make power?..The stock block has been proven to 500whp MANY times,There are currently afew in the 10's..On the stock block.

Do they last?..Refer to the "Are they reliable"..Good things don't last forever.

And with a 3rd Gen Rx-7,those cars are prone to alot of problems also.

I seriously just don't wanna see a kid your age,put yourself into a hole like this..If you really want a Srt-4,get one,Yea it is a fun car,I loved doing 60mph burnouts,and beating Corvettes etc etc..But if your car has "any sort of modification"..and it breaks,don't expect a warranty to cover your ass..Like I said,I got away with alot of things,because I found and know the loop holes,which they have closed.Take as you want,or know.I have liven the "Srt-4" life..Dude,I lived and breathed for that car,It was my baby,I loved it to death...BUT it was such a fucking relief to get it off my hands.I paid for it easily,money was no concern,but when you have a full time job,school,or whatever else you do..You NEED daily means of transportation,and if your thinking you can use the Srt-4 as your daily,and weekend beater..You have something horrible to learn.

 

You guys know what all I went through with that car..When it ran,It fucking RAN...But honestly,How many times did you see it RUN?....Not very fucking many.

 

i drove a "skittle" with light mods. so bang for the buck and all that shit aside that car was fuckin pussy and it looks like ass. its a damn neon for gods sake.

Plus they all were announced "lemon" i went to the dealership just to pass time and one of the sale's man told me all about.

Why bash it?..I'm sure it looks alot better and performs better than the car you currently own..So what does that make you?

My car had light mods,and would run 12's..No more than $500 invested..Search my war stories..And honestly,They dont look like "ass"....My car was'nt omgfuckingjdmcrazyoffsetwheelsfordriftingthatineve rdo!..But it was clean,and i got alot of compliments on it...

Thanks for the advise skittle.... If I were to buy a 2004 Srt 4 with no mods and 50k is 13k a good deal?

Can anyone else suggest another car i can look at thats fast in the 13k range?

 

last time i checked this wasnt your thread or your forum so ill say what i want. for that kinda of money id rather buy like a 98 svt cobra or idk, even a 97 corvette if possible. spending that money is like buying one of those beetle turbos or saturn ion redline. economy cars that should just stay practical. i really wouldnt drive any FF layout car, i dont car for that drive setup at all. and the whole "omgitsrunzmadtight12'sinthe1320!!" if i wanted a qm killer id buy someones built ass foxbody. i like oversteer, not understeer.
