If it's a car worth getting a compliment, they've probably had plenty already. I don't bother them, because I know that shit sucks after so many.

lol yeah I could careless. I won't compliment people on there cars because I hate people with big heads. If someone compliments me on mine I'll just say thanks... Too many shady people in the shithole areas of tampa trying to find out what you have so they can steal it

 

I usually just give them the finger and swerve my car at theirs to try and make them crash.

 

Edit: I'll give a thumbs up to something that obviously doesn't get it much, like a clean MK3 Supra, or a nice Starion, or a primered Nova. Those guys need to know that they aren't alone in their taste.

 

Since every car I'ver ever owned has had popup lights, I just pop them up and down real quick. It fits for the Miata because its like the automotive equivilent of or

otherwise I usually stare at them until they realise "Hey, you've got a Miata, and hey, me too, thats cool" in which case (only two to three times thus far) I'll smile and flash the peace sign hippy-style

Well in that case I follow them till they park and talk with them

 

+1 I don't like telling people with show cars how wonderful their cars are, some of their heads are too big and I hate running into those types. but I love showing apprecation for the "underground" or "cult" type cars, the types only real enthusiests know or understand the appeal of

Some cocky SRT-4 owner gave me a thumbs down a month back because he kept trying me and I wouldn't budge.

I rarely signal anyone. Usually if I see a nice car or bike I give them the thumbs up if not try to talk to them at a red light.
