You must just hate to read things huh? It's not the fact that he drives a Lexus it's the FACT that he said "it's the finest car in the world.", and "knows Lexus cars are better than anything currently in Ford's lineup, and he doesn't care if Ford employees or the media hear him say it out loud." I even inderlined and made it nice and shiney so it stands out for you.

Maybe...

also, Chuck RT/10, i dont have any point to make, i shared info, in an attempt to spark some of the conversation thats been going on lately about all this. Im sorry if you missed the point, but it seems like people are seek and destroy on these topics lately, i wanted to see what people had to say.

and to Frichard, It isnt the fact that he has a lexus, but doesnt the issue that he bought one, instead of a caddilac/lincoln speak for itself? He could have owned a domestic luxury car, but he chose not to, and then proclaimed it the best car in the world. There are cadilacs that get that expensive these days. It is like a Burger King worker eating a big mac, ONLY when he tells you the big mac is the best in the world, and there isnt a chance he would eat a burger king product!

Take care.
Mark

Fritchard, y would u waste 2 mins reading and typing. if you didnt care or didnt think this was funny. much be a ferd fan i guess

Translating that into intelligable communication made my brain hurt.

On a second note, if i were a ford ceo, I would drive a lexus too. Its no secret lexus > ford. Maybe this guy can help ford by making everyone realize that their products suck and they need to be better. I would sure love to be proud of the domesitc manufacturers, but at the current time, its impossible for me.

you guys are putting way too much thought into this. So he thinks its a better car than any ford, and rightfully so it is. Whats wrong with that? WHO CARES?

I think YOU are missing the point. For a grunt, making minimum wage throwing burgers together, its one thing. For the mill worker/auto plant guy, driving a taurus to a gm plant is one thing. He walks off with his 29k salary. When the CEO makes a point to talk about a car, as if it were the best in the world, drive one to work, then walk into his office into a major automotive manufacuriung as a CEO, it speaks volumes about the production choice. he didnt so much just blow it off as preference. I like a lot of cars. I didnt buy my supra just because i liked it. I can afford many cars, I just liked the perceived value in purchase. Its blatantly what he has done, and its a representation of current domestic automakers trends as of late. Produce things even their own wouldnt drive. Ive grown up with a bunch of people that work at dealers. They never own what they work on, unless it is a great deal. I guess just like any lucrative business, never buy what you sell Im sure there are exceptions, perhaps youll have 15, just to spite. Nevertheless, i suppose we shall see if this exhibits a trend. Ford is producing some nice stuff right now.
