I dont have the original owner's manual, and this Bravada WILL BE towing a boat 24'-26' in length. I just was wondering how far over the recomended towing capacity I was going over. Also its got the stock 4.3L V6 in it but I have all the motor mounts and upgraded Radiator and the New 350 ready to go in this bravada as soon as I get some time. So if the engine is not capable I have a bigger better engine ready to be droped in at a moments notice. Also I bought this Bravada specificly to tow a boat and Nothing more. Also brake upgrades, this being a Bravada/4 door Blazer and the older Box style is there anything I can do to upgrade the brakes? maybe take brakes from a 1500/2500/3500 Chevy truck?

imo i dont think that motor will be able to tug that big of a boat back up the boat ramp..and i wouldnt recommend taking it very far..my dads chevy pulls our 18ft flats boat decently..the tranny doesnt like it though..it's some sort of small v8..

This little motor is strong! and if it ever blows or gets a rod know I have a new 350 that will be going into this truck.

why are you concern about the pulling power?
when i had my grand cherokee V8, it dragged on it's nuts when i had to pulled his 25' boat because stock suspension was too soft.

The weak link in that truck is the awd system, Chevy lowered the tow capacity on every thing they put it in.

funny you say that, Im having a tranny guy tell me the same thing. How weak is that awd system? the entire reason I got this truck is because the AWD system so I could pull a good sized boat out of the ramp in any condition low or high tide.
