rim cleaning solution..
I went to pelican.. they sprayed some shit on my rims and then hosed it down and it came off like new. I was like damn.
Went to a body shop and they did the same thing for my friends rims..
can I make this mixture at home? what do I need to buy?
how bad is this for your rims?

Dishsoap and elbow grease. I WON'T let any else touch the wheels.
If you have polished on clear coated wheels use neverdull silver polish every once in a while. do rub too hard, it will scratch. So test on the back side of the wheel first.

Soap and Water!! I'm a clean freak, so when I started using MEGUIARS "HOT RIMS" that was safe for all wheels, i found it that it wasn't! My axis wheels started to peel (clear coat) after a few months. Simple green works great. If you want to have some clean rims, I would be prepared to scrub a little while using something safe then spray on and leave!!

for chrome you can use window cleaner and steel wool, extra fine. works awesome. for polished you are pretty much fucked, hand soap and some polish is the best for that
at work we have wheel acid, for the people who have never cleaned their wheels, and they come out brand new, but you dont want to use that stuff often at all. and dont breathe that shit in either, we had a tech who thought it was water, sprayed his car with it, and was too close, he was out for three days with complications.
for most cars, some AP cleaner works fine, with a mitt and soap.
those with clear coat on their wheels should be careful, obviously clear coat doesnt like a lot of chemicals

Meguiar's HOT RIMS is the shit, BUT YOU MUST FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS!!!
1. spray water on rim, ALOT OF WATER
2. spray crap on rim
3. leave it for 10 sec
4. DO NOT GO OVER 10 SEC
5. rise off and now you have a brand spanking new rim.
