Paint shop?
Hi I'm new to the site and the Tampa area and was considering buying a 300zx tt thats currently in primer and was wondering what shops around Tampa/St. Pete you guys have dealt with and that do a good job...I'm a college student so I need best bang for the buck type of job...also it needs a new bumper and windsheild know any good places for that kind of work for cheap? you see I've offered him 5800 and my max to spend on the car is 7000 including the repairs so if all that work is gonna blow way past 7000 ill have to either offer him less or drive in primer for forever
thanks for the help
thanks for the help
I picked up my car last friday after taking it to Oscar's bodyshop on Missouri in clearwater. I'm a college student too (SPC) with a full time job, so I try to save money when i can.
They did a "okay" job. But for $1,000 paint job, it's actually very decent. Base and clear, not 1 stage paint job.
Took 2 weeks to do it, but that's because the old paint didn't want to cooperate with the new paint. It shouldve been a week process. It had like 5 layers of old paint
the guy showed to me when a spot on my passenger door was bubbling out. They removed the old paint, sanded it down, and he showed me how many colors of silver/gray that the car had. It was amazing, 5 different shades of silver
Well, they repainted it, and it looks ok.
For what I paid for, I'm satisfied. If you want to see it, I'll be at QSL tonight. I haven't washed the car or buffed it, so you might see some dirt here and there, I'll wash it this weekend.
If you plan on going to this guy, let me know, so he knows that I'm bringing him customers...yeah, he's gonna give me $50
