How much do people usually pay for dead cars?

Question How much do people usually pay for dead cars?

I have a 97 Prelude SH..

....bad luck. Tonite I foolishly drove into flood....and car doesn't turn on anymore.


Just wondering..

How much would someone pay for a dead car like this?

Just put a new engine in it. It'll be worth a lot more running.

I don't have funds for putting a new engine in..but do you have an idea what the car is worth if its dead like that?

if the body is in ok condition u could get somewhere around a grand for it cuz right now it's basically a shell. unless there is something special about the car...

IMO $1k is a little low. Maybe $2k-$2,500.

When my car was up for sale about a year ago, it was runnign fine n everything, people low balled me all the way down to 2,000 cash.

geeez...now the car is dead!!!

you may do better to part it out, if you have the patience and knowhow, and want to sit thorugh the trouble

i don't know what sites your on, but sfpoa.net are all in florida and we have mostly 5th gens, and there is always prelude power

and as a finders fee you can give me the motor
