so everytime that hits a bump ot must slam the rear tire into the body. i only see abotu 1/2" of clearence on the back edge.

Nope, the ride is perfect.. NO RUBBING WHATSOEVER....
there IS a bit of modifying needed in order to fit these but as you see it can be done.... The escalade is driven almost daily and there has been no problems since install which was 5 months ago
