Mod my car myself. Whats the point of buying a modded car then driving it like if you were the one who did all the work. Even if you change or add a few things here or there its still not your work and something you shouldn't even be proud of since you did not do it yourself.
Now if you can't work on cars and have a shop do all the work then still your spending the money on having the car modded so yes its your work you modded the car.
Those who buy already modded cars tend to brag about something they didn't take part of. They usually act cocky and have nothing to show for. This is how I find humor when someone tries to run down a mods list of their so called car and didn't realize they missed this or that or said they had something they really didn't have.
Cliffnotes:
Buy a car stock form... mod it yourself to be proud of something
Buy a car already modded... shows you have nothing to show just swinging off someone else's creation.

I will never buy a modded car, for the simple fact you are probably buying someone elses fuck up. Also if its modded you can bet it has been beaten on.

I'll buy a modified car in a heartbeat. Typically, you can save a lot of cash on parts when buying a car that already has modifications done to it.
Of course, the risk of buying a screwed up car is there too, so buyer beware I guess.

i dont mind buying a modded car. Be prepared to dump money into it though, between fixing things and having to change things.

I would buy a car with basic boltons all day long... I bought my Mustang with Full exhaust, throttle body, mass air, gear....all the basic shit I would have done anyways....saved thousands.
I bought my STI from Carmax and had no clue that it was modded until like 2 days later I got it home. It had $1k Header, $1k turbo back exhaust, $800 tune and a CAI that costs a couple hundred dollars all work done at Mastro Subaru, all Ive added was shifter, pullies, springs and nitrous. I bought the car with 4k miles and now it has 18k, its gone 12.2 at the track and has never given me a problem. With labor I probably saved myself about 4 thousand dollars.
