Announcing The 2006 Heffner Challange @ Bradenton Motorsports Park (Bradenton December 9 & 10th)...
It looks like all of the loose ends are finally tied up. We have reserved Bradenton Motorsports Park for December 9th and 10th (Sat and Sun). This should be a killer event! Let me start by saying that Heffner Performance Inc. has covered the entire cost of a two day private track rental for all of us! That means 100% of the entry fees will go to cash payouts, but more on that in a minute.

I was trying to think of a way to make this event appeal to just about everyone who is into fast cars. I decided to break the event up into two main categories.

The Amateur Classes:
The amateur classes are going to be geared towards the new guys, or perhaps the guys that just want to show up and take it easy without being super competitive. These classes will include the Show and Shine, Exhibition, and the Stock Vehicle Class.

The Competitive Classes:
The competitive classes are for the racers. We will have four classes including the Street Tire Shootout, the 10.50 Class, the 9.40 Class, and the Unlimited Class. Each of these classes will have a winner. That winner will receive a cash payout from the entry fees for that class.

The Overall Championship:
This is where things are going to get really interesting! The four winners will come together in The Overall Championship. Here they will compete in a bracket race to determine who the Overall Champion is! Along with the Championship, the Overall Champion will walk away with all of the entry fees collected from the Show and Shine and Exhibition Classes! With a good turnout, that could amount to thousands of dollars not including the class payout they already won. Now that's what I call incentive to come race!

Besides Racing:
There is going to be an open house/dyno day at Heffner Performance December 8th (Friday). We will schedule several evening activities for folks that want to come hang out.

To The New Guys:
This event will be perfect for the guys that have never been to the track. Take some time and check out the event website by clicking here. It is full of valuable information that should get you up to speed on everything you need to know. There will be plenty of experienced guys at the event that will be more than willing to show you the ropes.

Track Time:
We will have our private track rental from 4pm to 9pm on Saturday the 9th, however, the track opens for a public test and tune session at 9am that morning. This gives you the option of getting there as early as you like (for a small entry fee of about $20) and getting your car setup and dialed in. We have the track to ourselves all day on Sunday the 10th from 10am to 5pm. As everyone know, December + Bradenton = Really Good Conditions! This is going to be a killer event.

Preregistration:
Please take the time to preregister. You will save a little money, because the entry fees will be a little higher at the gate. It also helps us gage how many people are coming. Just click on the "preregistration" link at the top left corner of any page on the site and follow the instructions. Also, if there is a ton of interest, we might have to limit the number of participants. Preregistering will guarantee you a spot.

At the end of the day, I know that you can't please everyone all of the time, but this is a good compromise that give the majority of viper owners a chance to really enjoy themselves. Please remember that a lot of effort has gone and will go into this event. Let's all have a great time and I look forward to seeing everyone there.

This event is like the Tampa Bay racing event ....it is design to give its racers maxium amount of track time, aswell for the public to enjoy racing that is not typicaly seen anywhere but in YOUR back yard.

I was trying to let the word out to the locals, so we can enjoy some unique racing action ... not avaiable anywhere else in the U.S.
....... not Califorina, Georgia, New York.... just here in Florida only at Bradenton Motorsports Park.

It is cheap intertainment of expensive cars going fast or breaking them in an effort for a need for speed.

"Who Is Invited?
This event started out as a Viper only event. We became a tight nit group. A lot of people in the group moved on to other types of cars, so this year we decided to include those cars as well. Cars invited include all Vipers and SRT Trucks, Ford GTs, Lamborghinis, Porsches, and Ferraris. Other cars will be admitted by invitation. If you have a cool ride that you would like to bring, but it's not on the list, please email me by clicking here, and we will look into it. Since there are only a small group of cars invited, you can be assured that you will have as much track time as you like at our two day private track rental. It really is a blast when you can just pull up to the tree rather than wait in line for half an hour."

Bone stock. 12.05 @ 119mph. And when I say "bone" I mean bone, right down to the Michelins. I even had 90K+ miles on the stock clutch.

I'm not sure but I think the number of entries (max/min) might have something to do with getting in. So if you think you have something special it won't hurt to try.

Every other drag event I've ever been to meant waiting in line and maybe getting a three or four passes in. I've always done 30+ passes during these guy's events. I could do 100 if I wanted.
