Default Oil Change

Alright, I'm getting close to another oil change and was wondering what you all thought of full synthetic oil. I have an 02 Ford Ranger V6 and running regular 5W-20 but have heard a lot about full syn. lately and most are for it but some are against it. Some things I've heard so far is that I'll get better gas mileage, some more horses, and a much cleaner and more effecient engine! Let me know what you guys think, Please!

Always use the full syn. Much better heat dissapation and viscosity retention under heat and load. Some people say that on a new car or race engine the rings wont seat. If the dont seat its because of inferior ring design, not oil. In Top Fuel we would sometimes have to put all new slugs into the thing, and after warm up it would only leak down about 6-12%, which aint bad if you see what nitro does to valve seats.

You wanna pay $5/qt, go ahead. My 2006 Silverado doesn't require it so it doesn't get it.

My baby loves 0-40 Mobil, even when she has near 190K on her.

It could be said with that new of a car it doesn't matter what you put in as long as it doesn't go through a Fram, and I'll agree with that. If you want your engine to last a lil' longer(however marginally), I would switch to full synthetic.

I use Synthetic Oil... keeps the engine clean, quiet and runs smooth. Oil for the most part stays clean. Use regular coventional oil and it seems to burn faster, turn darker quickly and builds up sludge in my opinion. If anyone wants to differ on my statement... go ahead, I've worked for Mobil and took there certification course. I've seen plenty of cars running synthetic and non-synthetic oil and what the oil looks like 3,000+ miles of use.

Run synthetic... I usually run Mobil 1 but lately I've gone to Castrol. The oil filter I use is FRAM unless I feel the need to go K&N. Once you run synthetic oil you will need to keep using synthetic oil. You can't go back and fourth between conventional and synthetic.

i use nothing but 5w20 Mobil 1 in my 4.6 mod motor and i have never had even a hiccup from the motor.
My car has roughly 96k miles and i recently did the timing chain, and when i did, there was literally no sludge or dirty parts period.
The inside looked like it maybe had 200 miles on it.Im doing the oil pan gasket soon, and when i see that ill let you know how she looks.
liitle side note,my car has had nothing but mobil 1 since 0 miles, so im sure it couldnt hurt.Plus if you start syn oil and then go back to regular,i hear your seals will begin to leak.
