dealer license. only way you will get into an auction anymore. once you do that...you have to have more money then the snowbirds who come down here to get clean unsalted florida cars.

Forget about auctions. When I was looking to buy my first car, my mom's friend (who had a dealer's license) took me to an auction. I figured I'd get a badass deal, but a lot of them actually sold for a little more than you'd find in the paper or the auto trader. You get to eat free peanuts, though. Then again, water was like $3 a bottle. Most of the cars weren't exactly immaculate, either. My advice is to stay away from them. Never been to a police auction, though. If anyone knows when one is and how to enter, I'd like to know.

like they said you need a dealers license and most of the cars there are from places like autoway and such because they didnt pass there inspections or they are just too old.

I've had great experiences with the auto auctions down here. Been to SPAA & GTBAA a few times and have had great deals. Bought my old '94 for 1,600 and sold it for 3,300 about a month ago. Picked up this car for 3,100 and they are going for 6,000 + all day long.

They have everything like police impounds and confiscated cars, private owner cars, and state and local government vehicles. They also have anything else you could think of like boats, buses, semi's, motorcycles, and other misc stuff like wheels, tires, compressors, etc. best thing to do is go thursday or friday before the auction and walk around the lot and see what they have.....
