I think the eylids compliment the hood notch which does look a little crappy, however I wouldn't paint the grill silver too. That new hood looks kick ass, but dosen't it use a different size headlamp?

to clear up the headlights, you can either try using some plastic polish such as Meguiars Plast-X, or there is a "Headlight restoration" kit that most auto parts stores sell from Permatex that includes some sandpaper grades and polish to use. I've used that kit with great success on an old 99 Mercury Cougar that had lights so yellow you could barely see at night.
