Start flaming now...I don't care. In my humble opinion, this has to be the baddest car to have ever worn a license plate.

That's a lot of rubber. I mean no offense but is that the only Camaro that can turn (aside from the LM on GT4)?

bob that car won it in 89 and was put to rest..they just redid that car with brand new nascar style chassis..aluminum 540ci engine..them are old specs that car makes close to 950hp now..it ate all the comp in 89 and broke in 90 i think but no one wanted to run it..i used to have the story of it in my hor rod mag.

335/30ZR-18s On all 4 corners

I want that!! the 315's fit in the back with no fitment issues, and I figured I would start small in the front with the 265 but next tires in the front will be 295s.

It slaughtered all comers back in the late 80's. Not too much later, it was wrecked at an event. Went off road and rolled it. They walked away. It was rebuilt and returned to service. I believe it was eventually deemed illegal for Silver State Classic due to newly added rules and restrictions. The car wen to a museum and sat. Recently, Mr. Gottlieb picked up his car and started revamping it...plans are for a triumphant return. The original article in Car Craft is on www.racehome.com scroll down to the bottom.
I remember carrying the article around in my folder in junior high...daydreaming and drawing pictures of that car....has to be one of the sweetest cars to ever hit pavement.

I still have the VHS tape of the Silver State classic that they won. I think RJ (son) was driving it at the age of 18. He averaged over 190 I think.
