Would you let your average TR member drive this car if you owned it?

1. Define the average TR user for me.
2. Its not a ferrari.

I'm willing to bet 100% that car has already had its share of beatings in its 14 year lifespan. From this one photo, I can plainly see the front bumper does not match the rest of the car.
If I was paying someone to do a job for me that I did not want to do myself, what other choice would I have? If they steal or part it out they are a criminal, and you have them arrested. Then again, it would be up to you to use common sense and at least meet the person you hire first.

If you dont trust anyone to drive it, why are you posting a request on TR for someone to drive it in the first place?

thanks John, I searched that site a few days ago and the cheapest I found was $675. If somebody could beat that it would be great.

I'd rather have a random TR member drive it back than keep searching for the absolute lowest shipping price possible. A friend had a Porsche shipped over from Cali years ago, they tore the front bumper cover off the car, "the car is lower than stock, we're not responsible" was what he received for compensation. Cheaper isn't better. Why don't you just fly up and drive it back?

check auto train out. http://www.cwrr.com/Amtrak/e_fl_at.html A friend of mine used it and they were cheap and took care of her car. They go from Orlando to virginia. You would need someone to drive the car to virginia. This may be cheaper, but would require someone to get the car to virginia.

If you don't trust anybody to drive it you could fly up, drive it to VA, and ride the train back home. It should only take a few days. As limited as that car may be, your best bet might be just having someone drive it here. I have heard too many horror stories about people's cars getting f'ed up in transit. The only reason I like auto train is because you ride along with your car in the train.

If you are worried about your car getting stolen you could write up an invoice and contract for the person driving the car. Keep a copy of their license, and if you are really paranoid get the trip data logger sold at autozone for $100. It is a small unit that plugs into your car and monitors acceleration and speed. Parents use it to make sure their new driver kids are beating their car or driving like a jack ass. This seems like a fool proof and cheap way to get your car here.

thanks Randy but I got the car really cheap because its not Drivable. It will drive long enought for it to be loaded into a truck, that train Idea isnt bad but It cannot be driven for longer than 5-10 minutes.
