question bout boost controlers
A Very Good Profec B Tuning Guide
I assume you're using a GReddy, anyways.. since those are the "confusing" settings on it.
Be careful using the default settings that website offers, unless you drive an Evo. Start w/ your set at 0% and work your way up to desired boost.

i know how to use it. but wtf do those settings do?
i just use SET to change boost.
but then theres GAIN which goes up tp %100 and SETGAIN which come up to 425 i think.
%100 of what
425 of what?
i noticed that when i change those numbers...
a) turbo spools up quicker
b) boost storts droping at highr rpms
c) all of the above

Well... the tuning guide roughly describes what they do.. but..
Gain: Basically this sets the rate at which the boost controller allows the boost to increase past the wastegate spring. The higher you can run it w/o overboosting/spiking, the better, but this number usually ends up pretty low for everyone.
Set Gain: This is the lowest point at which the EBC will begin to increase boost under WOT. You want this as close to your "Set" value as possible without overboosting/spiking.
Edit: And no problem
You beat me to the reply button.

Not always. Chances are that if you do that, you'll spike to about 18-20psi.
I'd say start with a Set Gain of about 100 (10psi) and then observe your boost gauge. If boost seems to fall off at higher RPMs, then increase the Set Gain.
