The Best Thing Callaway Ever Did
I know, I know, it isn't really. But it is an interesting read. I can't say I have ever seen an intake manifold pull double duty as a top mount intercooler. Still impressive with 219hp and awd. It's sad they never put it into production, but it did pave the way for the Rallye Golf and the Golf Limited.

I don't believe that site goes in to the history too much, but if memory serves the Zonker was sold on Ebay for $13,200 and now it sits on some guys lawn with a cracked BBS body kit collecting dust bunnies. Sad.

wow, and it looks like it was actually used hard. i love that! looks like he had a nice rubbing problem with the left rear axle against the exhaust.
