custom tuning
what are some options for tuning a custom forced induction set-up...i have priced everything and im still cheaper than every turbo kit i have found...now i am just lost with the tuning aspect..please any info advise you can give me for tuning a custom FI set up will be appreciated...

Well, at least you have the right direction. Standalone is the only way to go. Any standalone setup will have a basic startup map for your engine. Keep the idle rich, mid-range (cruising) stoich-lean, and boost (no matter how much) rich. Pull a degree of timing per psi as a basic rule and get it to a mustang dyno. Try and keep your AFR in the low 12's while under boost, and low 11's if under boost AND an additive (methanol, nitrous, etc.)
You'll have so much more potential with that setup as well. Extra injector controllers (for tuned nitrous or methanol setups) that trigger under certain PSI levels. Not to mention full control of every sensor on your car. I run Tec3 (which is overkill on the street), so any other standalone you decide should be easier to tune. Regardless, this isn't the vortex, i'm not here to flame... just help. So ask away mang...

that makes somewhat sense to me..but i still have A LOT of reading to do...to fully understand everything..
