how the fuck is it safer? Name one time you've been on the street in the day and said "man if that BMW didn't have daytime running lights I have no idea what would have happened."
Basically, there's no point in them. None. Unless someone can explain otherwise.

The only time I'm glad for them is when I'm driving directly into the hot, blinding sun. On-comming traffic with lights on are easier to see then. Otherwise they have to be for old folks, or people with bad peripheral vision, or people who don't pay attention. I guess that's most FL drivers...

Maybe for you, but I find driving into the hot, blinding sun the last thing I want is MORE fucking light being shoved into my cornea.

If you can't see something the size of a car in broad daylight DRL won't help you.
