Default Police Car Auctions

A friend of mine told me about police auctions where seized and repossessed cars are sold, but I can't locate any of them. Does anyone know where I could find police auctions in the new port richey, st pete, clearwater, or tampa areas?

I wouldn't feel comfortable buying a car that the cops stole from another American.

Why not? People who don't pay their payments get their cars taken away!

Those are bank repos - a signed agreement between lender and customer, not law enforcement taking somebody's property.

police impounds could be alot of things, but most of the time it's siezures, like cars used for running drugs, DUI, or some other crime. I would look for the cars that have been siezed for street racing, then post up a ton of pics as it is slowly parted out hoping the EX-owner can see the pics and knows that they can buy their car back if they can find all the parts.
