Step 3: Thank me for this post, for keeping you from doing such a retarded task.

thanks for your usefull post.
well since you gave me potential vehicles
1. aquire Diesel truck or car
2. aquire Desired gas truck or car
3. Take all Diesel related stuff off aquired Diesel Truck or car
4. Take all Gas related stuff out of the desired gas truck or car
5. with an engine hoist or a strong Oger drop engine into desired car or truck engine bay
6. Have the said Oger or hoist hold the engine right where you want it to sit with the tranny attached.
7. Fab up motor mounts with the said engine hovering in the engine bay.
7a. Oger might be getting tired so let him rest for 5 min. then get back to work
8. while said engine is hovering fab up some tranny mounts.
9. run all needed lines for electricity and Diesel fuel.
8. have fun!

EVERYTHING needs to be changed.
Fuel tank, pump, lines, etc
engine, transmission, probably rear end gears (deisels don't rev very high at all so they need alot taller gears than gas motors)
Cooling system will need to be upgraded
Suspension will need to be upgraded. Deisels are HEAVY, you'll probably double the weight of a deisel engine/tranny vs the gas setup that comes out.
Basically, if you have to ask, you probably aren't equipped with the knowledge, tools, or money to do the swap.
