Company I work for impounded a Caprice with 891,000 Miles On it
i thought this was remarkable...and only found out after talking to the owner after he came and picked his vehicle up. The Caprice was a 91 and had the original motor which (according to the owner) burned very little oil. The car was on its third transmission and was driven periodically from Edmonton Alberta to St Pete BCH FLA. Interestingly enough...he wants to keep the car until it passes 1 Million miles.
In case anyone wants to run a carfax...the VIN is: 1G1BN53E8MW202109

did the body or interior seem like it had that much mileage on it.

the thing is though...i've NEVER seen a vehicle (at least knowingly) with over 300k miles on it...so i'm not sure how it was supposed to look...although he had clearly taken care of it.
American RWD V8's are some of the most reliable cars on the road...its fwd 4cyl/v6 domestics which don't last past 200k miles without breaking down.

it makes me laugh when people share their personal stories...
vehicles with 300k and 400k and even 500k cannot be compared to a vehicle with 900k miles...that is still running the ORIGINAL motor.
