I have no tint on my car and I probably wont ever get it. I think my car looks way cleaner with no tint and I can actually wait 1 minute in my car until the AC is ice cold. The Fl sun kills the tint and turns it into purple and then it looks super shitty, plus its a pain in the ass to remove.

How long in the Fl sun for it to turn purple? like 10 years. If you have tint that is turning purple it is either really old shit, or your buying the cheap shit. LLumar Charcoal 15% since 2001, in the FL sun 24 hours a day and not even a hint of discoloration.
Some people don't like it and that's fine, it's a personal preference, I have just found that it does make a difference on the heat. Now I am not talking about normally parking in the shade and then adding some 30% tint, I've had my car out in the open with no shade and when I climb in without tint you can feel the heat surge out the door when it opens, and you can't touch anything metal. Once I added the tint (2 layers of 15%) you can still feel the heat, but it's only slightly hotter the the outside temps, and touching the metal is no problem.
The asthetic value is also a personnal opinion, and one that I'll never understand. how a clear window that shows all the passengers, seats, interior trim, anything in the back seats, generally anything that is going on inside the car....Opposed to one even color of tint that doesn't show any of the inside, any of the packages, the child seat, interior trim, etc......how is tint not cleaner?

On my dad's 80 elcamino the tint is extreemly purple, but then again the tint was put on back in the 80's.
I also have tint on the windows of my house, so they have the sun constantly as well and after 3 years no discoloration.

This is another reason why I love my civic, the a/c core is beside my radiator and not infront of it so airflow isn't an issue. I did pull the ac from my crx though, but that was because the fucker that did the swap was a hack and fucked it up, had it been my choice I would have kept it. I normally don't mind the heat, but after working out in the sun all day the drive home is nice with the a/c on.
i hate pulling cores out from behind my dash and shit...ahh it sucks..i love ac but i dont run it in any of my cars.i'm a hp freak so i try to get the most out of every engine.
