Default car insurance?

We are shopping around for insurance and I'm hoping I can get opinions from everybody here about which ones to avoid and which ones you have had a good experience with. thanks.

I have State Farm and don’t have any complaints at all.
I recently shopped around with different insurance companies to see if State Farm was giving me a good rate and they were significantly cheaper then anyone else. I have also been with them for a long time.

i would give Esurance a call they beat most rates in FLA. but it really depends on so common variables, to get those GOOD rates!!!!! im an Agent my self. so any insurance question on Auto, Home i could give you the "law wise" answer.

as far as rates go, its hard to tell. some companies give low rates for high risk drivers, companies charge different rates for your territory(zip code). there are so many factors involved its hard to say which one is best for your variables. best thing to do is call around.

when i shop for insurance, the deciding factor is how they operate as far as claims, not the cost of the policy. to give you an example, esurance and progressive are terrible at handling claims, they use used or aftermarket parts to repair your car instead of OEM. my friend filed a claim with esurance when someone poured sugar in his gas tank, and his engine siezed up. esurance tried to tell my friend that sugar in the gas tank is harmless and they didnt want to cover his claim. and my freind the co-operator of a performance shop.

try to go with a company with a top claims reputation, allstate/statefarm/travelers/etc.

also, the best people to ask this question is body/repair shops.

Im pretty sure they didnt tell him that even my two year old son knows that sugar seizs the engine. and secondly Progressive and Esurance DO NOT use "used or aftermarket", they have a lifetime warranty on ALL parts that they put in. And as far as state farm goes they sell ppl Salvaged cars there in a huge class action suit for that. Allstate is an AWsome company to get in, and so would be USAA. BUT...... if you are a 25 and younger with a few things on your record Esuarnce and Progressive will be your best bet, unless you get on mommy and daddy's spin off .
