im on my way to find a job cause i just moved to orlando for school. i missed my turn so i make a u-turn, come back around and make a right. i noticed that there are 2 troopers in the middle section of the highway. i was thinking to myself "its not the end of the month yet???" anyways, about 25 FEET after i make my turn. i can see the lights speed up from behind me. so i pull over and sure enough it was for me. now, im thinking wtf ?? the officer walks over with a grin and ask me for my license/regestration...ect. after i gave it to him. i asked him why he pulled me over. he says, without trying to laugh, and i quote " sir, you made a turn without your signal lights and i can hear your muffler from 25 ft ". well his partner comes and stops behind him. talks for a hour and then gets back in his car and pulls over a car for no reason from what i can tell. now im thinking these guys are fucking playing around. he comes back to me and tell me the fine for an exhaust is 70 dollars. but he's being a nice guy today so he'll let me off with a warning.

just though i would share my first experience with orlando cops....

last time i got pulled over in orlando the cop was trying to confront me saying "you race dont you..i can see your rear seats gone" they have nothing else to do but bullshit all day

 

thats because theres no need for cops heheh

 

so were they orlando cops or toopers? it sounds like they were fhp ( florida highway princesses), since fhp has nothing better to do. the 25ft thing, did they use their calibrated ear or just some junky db meter, inorder to determine you needed to be pulled over?

 

He was probably legit on the signalling, since even lane change signals are mandatory as of 2005, my understanding.

Next question: was your muffler "hearable" from 25 feet?

i was on alt 19 in tarpon one night going to clearwater and i sped up to catch a light because i was following someone and because the buildings so close to the road i guess my muffler sounded louder than what it is and i got pulled over. hes like you ran that red light and you have a modified exhaust, thats loud. i was like wtf, so he got my info and then just gave it back to me real fast and said to change it when i got home. and peeled out and drove away. almost hit my car too.

 

I have never seena cop do good...well there are a FEW exceptions..and i mean FEW...its easier to come by a hermaphadite(SP?) then a good cop.
