OK I am driving home from work a couple nights ago around 12:30
A co-worker is leaving with me as well, so after being on the road for 30sec. I turn onto another street and proceed. Well before I could even get up to 45mph I see a cop next to my co-worker trying to get in front of him, he then starts checking my plate and before I know it SCREEEECH the cop cuts off my co-worker and flashes his lights! I pull over and shut it off, he of course asks for all of my info. I do as told, but cant find my registration! He calls my Vin number in and all that shit.. then his buddy's show up and they chit-chat, he finally comes back, and I said "LOOK OFFICER- I JUST GOT OFF WORK AND ITS MY BIRTHDAY.. I LIVE 4 MINUTES DOWN THE ROAD" he then checks my Drivers License and I really thought he would let me off.. he then presents me a ticket and I angerly say "AND WHY WAS I PULLED OVER?" He tells me expired tag, then gives me a $75 ticket for no proof of registration... And his buddy keeps telling him out loud "HEY HEY LOOK LOOK AT THE EXHAUST"

Now I drive probably the cleanest Honda Civic around- (All OEM Inside & out)
And my exhaust is almost too quiet!

These Palm Beach cops are plain old cock suckers.

Why on all days cant I catch a fucking break?!?

Co-worker said that he cant pull me over for expired tag, I would have to make a traffic violation first.. I think B.S. TRUE???

nope,not true. they can pull you over for just an expired tag alone. However I believe there is a grace period on your tag after your b-day I am just not sure how long it is.

7-b. And if your birthday is at the beginning of the month, you don't have the entire month to renew your license plate decal. In most cases, you're driving with an expired tag the day after your birthday.


so TECHNICALLY, at 12:30am on the following day, your tag was expired. sorry man.

 

if you get it renewed and take it to court the judge will probably throw it out since it was only expired for 30 minutes. did your b-day fall on sunday or on a regular business day? if it fell on sunday then you have until the end of the next business day. Even if the judge is just as much of a cock as the cop, think about this, the cop was on duty at 1230 am and pulled you over so chances are he doesn't even get off until 2 or 3 hours later. so if you fight it the cop will have to go to court during the day, when he would normally be sleeping, if your really lucky he will have to work the next shift as well.

Whoops! That's why you get that letter in the mail asking you to renew 2-3 months before your tags expire.
