I have to get a security system for my car. Does anyone recomend a shop? Im good with wiring, is this something i could tackle myself? In either case what brand/model security systms are good?

ive always had viper or clifford .

 

both of those are made by dei, so they are good choices. if you are good with wiring then I would definately say do it yourself. as for model, you will have to decide what features you want.

 

anything dei is good, and eurotek is mobile and will come to you and install and will do a great job i used to work for him 813-503-5101 his name is Remik, he is a little matter of fact so i appologize in advance if he is a little rude, but he will do it for the cheapest and i think he is one of the best installers in tampa.

When you hear a car alarm go off, do you think "omigawd, someone is trying to steal a car!" or do you think "shut that fuckin thing off!"?

IMO a killswitch deal would be a better idea..attatch it to the battery or EFI fuse and shut it off when you arent in the car. Just remember if they really want the car or something in it, theres almost nothing that can stop them!
