I'm sure it could pull it as long as the damn frame didn't give out. Problem would be stopping. I had a 28 foot boat on the back of a big Olds before, pulled it fine until you had to stopa dn ddin't have 300 feet to do so, then it started to jacknife on you. I can only imagine how much worse that would happen to an S2k.

the brakes on the S are designed for the weight of the car, not 1500+ extra weight.
i could see it working if he had a brake upgrade, like 4 piston calipers and huge ass rotors.

it's original but that doesn't mean it's smart. just wait for him to panic stop for anything bigger than a normal compact...then his S in S2000 will stand for Sandwich.
and that boat is a heap, looks like one of those yuppie ski boats whose duties entail heading to the local "sandbar" to illegally drink. granted, i guess my boat is inferior because it's a crappy 18 foot, cheesy thin aluminum hulled POS with a weaksauce 60 merc on it. but hey it gets me through a foot of water on the flats and thats all that matters

Brakes don't matter. They can be 10 piston brakes designed for stopping rolling powerplants and the car would still jacknife. It simply doesn't have the MASS to tow that.

Bayliner boat - about as bad as it gets - Unless of course you don't have a boat - then it's a great boat.
