Default turbo and centrifical supercharger ??

alright a centrifical makes more boost faster your engine rpms go right?? so at idel u may be like 3psi but at your red line point u would be at 20 or what ever right.

and a turbo once it fully spools its at the max boost level u want right?? so u may be like 3 but once it hits 3grand its at max boost tell your red line.

i'm just trying to figure out something

Centrifical brings on boost with rpm, a turbo could hit full boost from idle if you set it up to do so.

It all depends on your desired set up. If you have a liul displacement to work with get the centrifigal, if you need to add displacement go turbo.

also look at torque... a centrifugal S/C wont make anywhere near the torque of a roots blower or twin screw... it will make torque linearly, just like its HP, till you hit the max boost the pulley will allow... usually at high rpm's... a big factor if your motor has low displacement.

a turbo will always make more torque and make it much early in the powerband...

I dunno if this is useful or not, but pretty much all of the 8000hp drag cars use lysholm s/c's (almost like a whipple), not turbos. Granted you probably don't want to be running 40+ psi on a monster V8. I just wanted to illustrate the point.
