What did you guys use to keep the scraped metal from rusting? just repaint it?

I used a plastic scrapper. That way the paint underneath didn't get scratched. Voila, no rust.

Default local dry ice

In Tampa, on hwy 301, South of MLK, west side of the road. Big sign.
That's where I got mine. Plastic scraper is a good idea. I used a scrubbee and mineral spirits to immaculately clean the tar away.
I used Pep boys touchup paint to prevent rust and cover the grey exposed areas.......-Bob

Exactly. When you've got a 4 banger with no torque though, I guess that extra 50-60lbs off makes a difference. Plus, you need something to offset the weight added when the subwoofers are thrown in the back.
