So I just finished setting up my turbo setup a few days ago and took a friend for a quick spin, nothin ridiculous. My car is a black 2000 civic si, looks and sounds exactly stock other than its lowered 1.5-2.0" and has a FMIC in the front. Also another great investment i made was leaving the stock ehaust on there and installing an e-cutout.
Well anyway, its about 5:30 on a weekday and i was on my way home from work and i picked up my good friend who wanted a ride (we both just got off work and were still in business attire). anyway I pull out onto a side road, open up the cutout and just step on it thru 2nd gear and just a bit of third then let off (maybe hit 70mph tops in a 45), close the cutout and turn down another side street where i can swing a quick u turn then head back to where we came from. As Im sitting at the stop sign waiting to pull out a see a bike cop to my right turn down an adjancent side street...i didnt really think anything of it. then i see him pull out of the side street and drive down the road im tryin to pull out on to and hes just staring at me with a pretty nasty look on his face. he swings a left onto the side street im waiting on and gets quickly behind me in beween me and the car that was waiting behind me. As soon as i pull out he throws on his lights. I'm think "SOB i have no damn luck". I pull over into a parking lot and shut off my car. The cop walks up (looks like a straight dickhead mind you) and I give him a casual "hey whats up?". He asks me where were coming from and I say "from my friends house, why? whast going on?". He then asks me to turn on my car, so I say "ooookkkkaaaayyy" and do so. I let it idle for about 3 seconds when he asks me if i have a factory muffler on here and i answer yes of course then he askes me to give it some gas, and I also do so. I asked him what the problem was and he answered "Well some black car just went screaming by here at like 900mph and it looked a lot like you car but the guy had an aftermarkeyt pipe on it". He apologized and then sent us on our way....LOL

 

that's worth the price of admission in and of itself... and yea... that didn't take long to cave... is this one going to end up as mean as the last?

Haha, awesome story . I love my electric cutout- every time I see a cop on the road I close it off until they're gone, then open it right back up.

You should paint that front mount with a light coat of black paint. Make it totally stealthy.
