Whoever paints the car, do the prep work yourself. Econo uses a wood rasp to sand

i'm sure you can have a quality ass bumper paint job for 300-400 but that's it. Save up some more to do the rest of the car.

 

The prep work under the paint is what makes the paint job. Get it perfect yourself, first. Computer match the color to allow for fade. If it's painted at night, tiny bugs fly into the paint room. Leave your number for me, and I will

not really, ive had a couple cars painted at maaco and it always turned out good and a year or more later it still looked the same.....

 

do econo bake in husdon, they do go work for the money, if you do all the prep work and tape it off (b/c they suck wherever you go) the charge maybe 250-350 for a basic color like white or something without metallic. also the colors without the metallic last longer like 3-4 years and dont fade as quick

Don't those shitty places mix the clear coat with the base coat making the car look like ass? Also making waxing futile? What about a wetsand. I'm going to say that for $400 you're going to get a car that looks like $400, that coming from experience.

I wacked a fence, didn't want insurance involved, quote from the place my dealership does collision damage was ~$3000, took it to econo. They didn't even sand or primer the car, left the windows cracked, didn't tape up 50% of the weather stripping and windows, now the paint is peeling in parts and guess what's underneath??? A really shiny factory coat!!! I'm thinking about peeling my car like a banana, it would be a huge improvement.

 

then you wonder why i can write a estimate for 4k and three other shops write the same thing, then here comes macco and says "500 bux" ....lol,lol.....you would think something is'nt right...haha....

 

The wooooorst possible thing to do, is get a cheap paint job... i know from experience.
