Default Where to go for a high speed run?

Is there any place where I can take my car for a safe and legal high speed run? What I'd like to do is a couple 0-150-0 runs and get a little video of my instrument cluster during the run.

I know I could find a bit of deserted road and just do it but I'm wondering if there is any facility in the area where this could be done legally.

If all you want are some pics of the gauge cluster, why not just do it on a dyno? Shit, photochop it and save yourself the engine wear. I can see you now, at 150mph, trying to work a camera. Better write a will.

Borrow a radar detector and take on South I-75. I've driven down to Wimauma, past Sun City Center on a Saturday afternoon and passed like 3 cars on the interstate. It's fantastic.

A dyno run? I guess ... not any fun though. Photochop? No way - I want the real thing with sound.

As for working the camera, I was thinking a passenger would come in handy for that but if not, I could rig a camera mount somehow.

I know I can't get close to that speed in a 1/4 mile but I really don't know exactly how much more road I'd need.

I don't think there is anywhere around here where you could top out at 150mph. Your best bet might be like I-75 in the middle of the night/early morning like others said. The only bummer is an NSX kinda sticks out, so you'd be high profile jail bait.
