Default some 1 please answer?

if i take the head gasket cover off , will there be no compression or anything that will affect the engine and if i just put it back on will it be fine?, i know its probably a dumb question but its my first car..thanks.

What the hell is a head gasket cover? Do you mean the valve cover, or the valve cover gasket?

he means valve cover gasket, and you dont want to run without a valve cover or valve cover gasket, oil will go everywhere.

you can take it off. Its fine just dont run the motor with it off or anything. Why, aere you gonna paint it?

Yep. Pretty easy to answer. You can take it off as long as the car isn't running and everything will be okay. Unless the gaskets are reusable for your valve covers (meaning they're thick rubber peices and obviously not meant ot be thrown away) you'll need to splurge on a $5 pair when you put it back together.

If you try and run the car without the gaskets OR the valve covers themselves....umm...just don't do it.

No he means will he lose engine compression if he takes the valve cover off.
