Default ethanol powered engines

Does anybody know what it takes to convert an unleaded gasoline vehicle to run on ethanol?

I know at least think that it is pretty easy since a lot of cars are already set up like I heard that Tauruses, Explorers, Stratuses, Suburbans and I think some s10's are already equipped for it.

Is this true? If so. What do they have that a standard engine doesn't have?

the reason motorists don't know about the five-million-plus ethanol-ready cars and trucks on the road is that until now Detroit never felt the need to tell them. Automakers quietly added the flex-fuel feature to get a break from fuel-economy standards that is what I heard why they don't advertise it.

I heard ethanol is more corrosive and it burns about 30% MORE than gas.... :\ but Still what you would have to do to the internal of the engines and the fuel lines and tank and filters.

The reason i am interested is I do belive within a year or so we are going to see a lot of service stations adding ethy to the pumps. Also, I heard it was about a dollar cheaper (at least that is how much cheaper it is in brazil)

Most cars that can pass California emmissions can be converted with as little as a higher viscosity oil. California pumps already add 10% to the gas. It does burn faster and slightly hotter too =/

It burns cleaner and reduces the cost of fuel.

So basically everyone else can buy ethanol and lower gas prices for people like us who depend on higher octane fuel and level the world out for everyone
